The Capri name has been around quite awhile on different continents.

It first started with Lincoln in 1953? uh, or earlier.
The namve was later used in Europe in 1963 for the Classic Capri,
then Capri MkI, Mk II, MkIII and the Fox-bodied Mustang sister.
The name was then used on the Austrailian-built front-wheel drive Capri in 1991.
